Well the classes were split down the middle on if Mrs. Fitzgerald was having a boy or girl. On Wednesday evening team girl won as she welcomed a beautiful healthy baby girl into the world. We are so blessed to welcome another child of God to the world and send out best wishes to mom and baby!
Students will still recieve Math groups on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from Mrs. Nill. We will use the final month and a half left of GATE to wrap up units, continue our social emotional learning with Christ, and complete some end of the year projects. When we come back from break we will put our binders together and send them home. This week 2nd graders had fun learning about the importance and fun of a thesaurus, 3rd graders made their classroom YETI using their measurement skills from Math, 4th grade continued their deeper understanding of exploration in the novels they read, and 5th graders blew Mrs. Ellsworth and Mrs. Nill away with the short stories they wrote for their GATE perspectives unit. We can not wait to share them with you when we return. We hope you enjoy your week off as well as the celebration of all Christ did for each of us during this time of year. Blessings, Mrs. Nill & Mrs. Fitzgerald

It is crazy to think that the end of Quarter 3 is March 31st! That means that some students are wrapping up units while others are in the middle of units. We will spend the next week putting students academic binders together. They will be ready to go home when we come back from spring break. Just as a reminder:

Mrs. Fitzgerald & Mrs. Nill Happy Snow Day!
We like to start our GATE class time with a connection activity, breathing, and praying together. This weeks connecting activity focused on March is Reading month. Students asked each other questions about their favorite books, where they like to read, and how reading makes them feel. I have provided an accumulated list of students responses below. You will also see pictures of our 5th graders presenting their final Math projects. They were so good even the 3rd graders couldn't help but listen in as they presented them. Enjoy your snow day and long weekend! Mrs. Nill & Mrs. Fitzgerald Favorite Places to Read
