What a fun week in GATE! We did a ton of application activities in Math this week that students documented and collaborated to write about their experience on the student work page so make sure to check it out.
Second grade was also blessed to have a parent and community member teach us about her career at the Clinton-Macomb Public Library. She shared amazing insight as well as taught the students the correct way to research. Students were then able to apply that to their continued learning and research on writing systems. Third graders will have the same opportunity coming up. Below is a list of helpful resources she sent to me. I thought I would share as we all work with our students to find places to learn more and have fun doing it. If you have any questions let me know and I will reach out.

Residents of Clinton / Macomb Townships have access to our Things to Go Collection, which includes anything and everything, from luggage scales, cake pans, a circuit, a Ph tester for pools, or even some ukuleles! Be sure to check these out! Have a blessed weekend.

Welcome back!
I hope everyone had a wonderful and relaxing week off. We are rounding out the corner in GATE as we enter the last quarter. The students brainstormed a new method of communicating their papers with family by coming up with the routine to take home GATE papers every Friday. So be on the lookout every friday for students to be bringing that home. 3rd grade parents graded papers that go onto their report cards will be coming home on fridays as well. Some students are still forgetting to take them home at the end of the day so we will keep working together to make this a routine. Let me know if you have any additional questions. Curriculum Update
